100 mpg or More!
The engine's modular matrix design provides the key to fuel efficiency in excess of 100 mpg while still offering the comfort, acceleration and power modern drivers demand. For example, in a typical six-module design, all six modules would supply power when the vehicle needs to accelerate from a stop. When the vehicle is cruising on the highway or going downhill, several modules would disengage to save fuel. As driving conditions change, additional modules restart simply by supplying fuel and ignition to the number of modules required to supply the precise power needed.

Many Design Options
Engine matrix modules can be configured in a variety of ways. For instance, they can be installed directly on the drive axle system underneath the car, saving space and eliminating vibrations in the passenger area. This opens the door to many creative layouts that can reduce the size and weight of cars while still providing for maximum passenger comfort and cargo space.

Environmentally Friendly

Aircraft could take direct hits to a large number of engine modules and flight would continue until the very last module was destroyed. The free piston matrix engine takes up less than half the space of the best modern diesel engine, while offering more torque and usable power, and using less fuel. Because the engine matrix is comprised of independently functioning engines, one or more of the engines can be hit by artillery fire and the remaining engines will continue to function. This allows the vehicle to continue its mission or return to base safely. Damaged engine modules can be replaced in the field in just a few minutes. The engine runs well on any fuel source, such as conventional fossil fuels and modern low-energy biofuels. When outfitted properly, the vehicles can also run on solid organic biomass materials, such as wood, debris, waste and remains. This allows for independence from vulnerable supply chains as fuel can be collected from the surroundings when penetrating hostile environments.

Reliable and Efficient Field Power Generation
The modular matrix engine design is ideal for remote electric generators or combined heat and power applications. Engine fuel consumption can be precisely regulated by easily shutting down and restarting engine modules in response to changing load conditions. On-demand scalability makes it possible to achieve maximum fuel economy without compromising performance. Field generators can be outfitted to allow organic biomass material from the surrounding environment to be used as fuel.
